On the evening of May 25th, the undergraduates of the class of 2023 assembled in front of the No. 2 bridge connecting the front square of the university and the academic ring on the Yungu Campus of Xihu University. This time, instead of wearing youthful short-sleeved T-shirts; they collectively changed into formal attire.

Prof. Li Ling, Dean of α College, spoke as the representative of the Dean of the College and recalled, "I also spent my 18th birthday at the University, but I was not subjected to such a grand Bar Mitzvah, and no one even reminded me that: your life metamorphosed, you have become an adult, and you have to shoulder a lot of responsibilities, and you have to be accountable for each and every choice, decision, and action that you make. "

On June 1, the first weekend after the Bar Mitzvah of the class of 2023, a group of childlike undergraduates initiated the first Water Circle Games of Westlake University at the same Water Circle.

Considering that in the upcoming year, second-year students are about to go abroad for exchange programs, and first-year students are also preparing for English tests, the college prepared a series of interesting and practical activitiesin this month. The first activity is composed of Topic Sharings and Interesting Games. In Topic Sharing, Students are chosen to share their thinkings after a short preparation. Unfortunately, our international student Carson was chosen to practice his English.And the games fostened students' oral English and brought a lot of joy.

At the end of this semester (2024.1.7), our college organized an end-of-term gala to conclude the past semester and unite college members. We collectively reviewed our works and set our sights on the future in the summary part. During interesting party part, we together enjoyed brilliant performances, exciting lottery sessions, and fun games... Our new slogan: Work together and make alpha even greater!

In the end of 2023, our college held a party to celebrate the coming of the new year and enhance our relationship. We played the billiards, arcade game, table soccer, Mahjong and various board games. And the delicious hotpot and barbecue provided enough energy for us to enjoy the time!

In a festive celebration at Alpha College during Christmas 2023, students took unique journey merging finance and creativity. The event featured stocks discussions alongside the charm of a beautifully adorned Christmas tree and innovative decorations. Attendees engaged in artistic endeavors such as sugar painting and clay sculpture. This festival met Chinese tradition with the sugar painting, clay sculpture and hot shrink sheets. At the end of the activity, everyone exchanged the Stocks full of gifts and blessings.

On the Mid-Autumn Festival (2023.9.29), our college hosted this activity. We invite the teachers and students in our school to write down their good wishes. We held a party in the academy, eating mooncakes, doing crossword puzzles... Feel the Chinese culture in the activity.

After a month of initial education, the freshmen were getting used to college life, so we held a party to celebrate our progress. Some talented students also showed their ability to liven up the atmosphere of the party.

In order to get to know the new students better, the senior students led the freshmen to hold a series of activities to establish a new relationship in the laughter.

The Come-of-age Ceremony start with lots of food and some fun games such as darts and picking up marbles. After enjoying fun games and the delicious foods, we put on the suit and attend the Come-of-age Ceremony. We lined up by college and get the tie and blessing from our presidents of college on the bridge. All of us sit down with our families, seniors, counselors and presidents near the river and listen to the speech of our president Hongyu Cheng and the talking of the parent representative. It means that we had been adults in this time. In the end of the Come-of-age Ceremony, we returned to the room where we played game talking with our families, seniors, counselors and presidents. We enjoyed the time and end the Come-of-age Ceremony

A 5v5 Frisbee Competition was held on the evening of May 14th, hosted by Alpha College. The primary objective of the frisbee competition was to welcome the upcoming 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. The competition featured two teams, each consisting of seven members. Each team was composed of five undergraduate students(α&β against γ&δ) as well as two graduate students or teachers from the university frisbee club.
The frisbee competition followed a 5v5 format and consisted of three matches lasting 10 minutes each. To add an element of surprise and strategy to the competition, each team has 3 special effect cards, including adding an extra teammate on the field, doubling scores, etc.
After a series of highly competitive matches, Alpha-Beta joint team emerged victorious, displaying exceptional frisbee skills and coordination. They were awarded a trophy plate as recognition for their outstanding performance. All participants received official Asian Games souvenir as participation certificates, encouraging them to continue their involvement in sports.

2023.4.15, We participated the first basketball competition between colleges. Our college encountered Delta College in the semi-final. With the support of our external assistance Xinyan Lu, we showed enhanced skills and dominance. Despite Delta Academy's strong coordination, the match ended in a draw, leading to an intense overtime period. Through their solid defense and potent offense, Alpha Academy eventually secured a hard-fought victory.
In the finals, we faced Gamma College in a highly anticipated showdown. Due to the absence of their foreign player, we showcased strong prowess in the first half. the exceptional performance of Haotian Shen and high intensity defense of Jingwei Xu also propelled us to a commanding lead. As the second half unfolded and Gamma Academy's foreign player returned to the game, they narrowed the score gap. However, our adaptability and resilience ultimately allowed Alpha College to regain control and emerge as the champions of the tournament!
Haotian Shen's remarkable contributions earned him the title of "MVP" . This victory not only exemplified Alpha Academy's skill and tenacity but also highlighted the principles of sportsmanship and camaraderie cherished within the undergraduate community.

22023 March 25, α Dongting Yuan and δ Yuheng Chang organized the first badminton competition of our four undergraduate colleges. Each college actively prepared for the competition and set up the team recently. Our team members contained Hongtian Shen, Dongting Yuan, Shengtao Hu, Shuhan Zhao， and Jingwei Xu. The rule of competition is BO3 (three pairs of double players) and in each competition, you should get 11 scores to win. Our college narrowly competed with the γ college and reach the final competition with the δ college. Without a doubt, δ college which is the most powerful college in badminton won the championship with two powerful foreign aid. At the end of the competition, α Dongting Yuan and β Yingliangping Hu start a friendly competition with the badminton master of the lab seniors. The first badminton competition ended up in the laughter and sweat of us.

We bought football posters, national flags of the competing nations, and other decorations to decorate the college, all planned and organized by α SDC. We also posted the competition schedule. The college was quickly engulfed in the World Cup's carnival atmosphere. The World Cup attracted not only the students who enjoy football in their daily lives, but also the seniors, teachers, foreign staff, and even the less interested students, who joined in. The atmosphere was very lively as everyone watched the game together.
